Catching Up

Okay this is a lot of random stuff I've forgotten to post:

Recently I babysat an old friend's daughter
She is 7 months old and the cutest little person ever
Sadie wasn't sure how she felt about this new person

The other day Sadie discovered the little side carosel thing
The one with all the crap you keep next to the changer
So she brought me a comb and I showed her how to comb her hair
She was very impressed
Next she brought me a little baby brush and I showed her how to use that
She was again very impressed and pleased

Next she brought me a travel-size lotion
And didn't give it to me, just looked at it
And you could just see her saying to herself:
I know what this is for!
And she spent the whole next afternoon
Combing her hair with lotion bottles Smile

Really the frosting is the important part when you are speaking of cupcakes...

I finally stole HM's phone and downloaded all the important pictures of his 200 pictures :)
So some of these are old but here's a flashback:

When was the last time YOU were in a place where the nicotine residue was so thick you could write your initials on the walls?

We watched a cute little boxer puppy last year and took him to the store with us
And honestly, it was probably the only time that people paid more attention to the puppy
Than to the little cute baby :) lol...

A few cute baby pics of Sadie:
(I think the above was her first "real" Sunday back to church after she was born)

I texted this picture to a bunch of you but I finally got it on my computer
Poor girl shoveling in the snacks on our walk
And was overcome....

These are the "After" pictures of the place HM painted awhile back
These are the "BEFORE" ones just in case you forgot:
They finally opened and we went for a round of "Monster Golf"
It was pretty fun--kinda long, but fun

Hi Dad!
---from the beach

Look at this cute blondie!

And last but not least:
SCOUT CAMP!
My favorite quote from scout camp:
"I think I could walk on water faster than this barge is going"

Pelvic Rest

So the other day
Sadie and I went for our walk
Doc told me I was supposed to go walk for 30 minutes a day
in an attempt to maybe forestall having another 10 pounder
We'll see....
So we went for our walk
And Sadie was really good, slept, ate her snacks,
But I wasn't feeling very good
I just felt so tired and achy
But whatever, I've felt like that a lot with this pregnancy

So as we're finishing our walk, I get a call from HM asking me if I would go get something for him from the house
So we packed up and drove home
And went to the house to get his stuff and as I walked through the door
I felt like I kinda wet my pants....
Like the way it feels when you sneeze at 8 months along :)
And I thought, wow, what was that???
And it happened again.... and then again....
So by the time I got to the bathroom I discovered blood everywhere....
And I was freaking out!!!  I'll admit I cussed even....
So I changed clothes really fast (Sadie still sitting in the running car outside!)
And then went to find HM's thing
But couldn't find it, so mostly I just paced around my garage and finally decided the order of who I would call:
1.  Doctor
2.  HM
3.  CH to see if she could watch Sadie

So the secretary said she would call my Dr's secretary and have her give me a call.....done
Then I got in the car and started driving to CH's to drop off Sadie and go to the Doc
Called HM on the way and cried hysterically :)
Dropped Sadie off at Grandma's still crying
And went to the Doctor's office even though she still hadn't called me back

When I got to the Dr's office, the nurse didn't really look at me cuz she was really busy
But as soon as she did, she had me come back and sit down
I was still crying and basically sat there and cried while she made calls to see who could see me right away
Then she walked me down the hall to see this other doctor and told me:
"I'm sorry honey, think positive okay?"
So I cried more.....

The lady who saw me was a really nice black lady my age :)
(Gee, just think, I could be a doctor right now!)
She checked me out and said my cervix wasn't dilated
(meaning I wasn't in labor)
But the "amount of blood was definitely a concern"
no kidding!

So HM showed up sometime in there
And we went from there to have an ultrasound
I just had an ultrasound 3 weeks ago!
So not long afterwards, we went in for our 2nd ultrasound
And there was my peanut
with legs and arms and moving all around
It was the most beautiful thing in the world
She was fine and everything looked okay

Right then my lady doctor came into the ultrasound to see
Said she was on her way out and wanted to see what was up
(what a good doctor!)
The technician showed her one of the pictures and said "I think this might be the problem"
(I'm looking at the pictures going: what do you see in all that????)
Okay, she says: this is what is wrong:
You have a blood clot behind your uterus
This is what is causing the problem.
The baby is doing fine though, and looks good

Hopefully your body will just absorb the excess blood and it will all just go away on its own
So you are on "Pelvic Rest" Wink
(I told SH this and she said: "Awh, poor HM!" Wink)
until you are a little further along and we're sure everything is okay
Tylenol is your best friend and try to take it easy

So I went to the Doc again today--my Dr. this time
And listened to the baby's heartbeat--176
And he said everything seemed super good for how far along I was
I have another ultrasound in three weeks to see how things are going
And until then, no uh... excitement :)

Happy 1st Birthday Sadie!

Terrifically crafty

K, I am so proud of myself
I finished this pillow for Sadie
Isn't it cute?
I must admit though
I found this amid Cheryl's stuff
It was already completely done
I just stitched in her name and info
And then made the pillow part
So that was my contribution I guess
How cute!

Sadie's Birthday

K kids, this is your official invitation
Sadie's birthday is Thursday
And we are having a Swim and BBQ party
And eating lots of cupcakes with her
If you want to come, please come!
I mean, she's only one year old so this is more about you than her
She won't remember either way so whatever
But I thought I would throw the invite out there
So certain people (Marti Smile)
Ward members, relatives, or otherwise
can come if they wish
Or not, whichever you choose
But at least you know
Starts at 7ish
Bring a bathing suit if you want to take the birthday girl for a swim
She'll probably be in the pool until cupcake time
Hamburgers, Hotdogs, and other junk food provided Smile
See you there!

My little peanut

I must admit that lately every time I think to sit down and write something
I think to myself: Puke, I'd rather go lay down
So sorry it's been awhile
We have all kinds of news
The first of which is that we are expecting our second baby!
I wasn't sure how far along I was
So I was waiting to go to my first doc's visit
He said he thought I was 11 weeks
I said, no, don't think so!
He couldn't find a heartbeat
So I had an ultrasound

Now the last time I had an ultrasound it was pretty cool
I mean we got to see Sadie for the first time
And it was this small little thing all moving and alive
And by comparison this one was pretty boring
It was a big blob with an eyeball Open-mouthed
Technician said she is about the size of a peanut right now
And I'm 8 weeks along (now 9)
She didn't take a picture or anything
I mean seriously it was like: hmm, look a big dark blob
Hmm, see ya next time!
Nothing to see at all
But she is alive and growing and getting oxygen or nutrients or whatever
So that's good
So about Feb 12th we should expect our little peanut
to come out a lot bigger
