22 giugno Sad NewsAbout two weeks ago
I was unpacking from my trip to Utah
Sadie was playing by the bookcase with her toys
Andre was laying by the bed watching
I was on the other side of the bed, putting things away
All of a sudden I see Andre leap at Sadie
Growling and snarling like he does when he's in a fight with another dog
Only he was making those same noises at my daughter!
I ran over there and pulled him off of her
And started dragging him to the door
Screaming at him and wanting to kill him right there
HM came running in and asked what happened and when I told him
He took Andre from me and took him outside and beat the crap out of him
I ran to Sadie, who was getting up from where Andre had knocked her
Still doing her breathless cry
She had one puncture in her forehead, and a spot over her lip was bleeding
My heart was beating so hard I could hardly breath
But in a few seconds she stopped crying
And seemed puzzled as so why HM and I were fussing over her
I disinfected her little wound but she didn't seem hurt at all
I think I was the traumatized one, more than her!
She wanted down so she could go play
And HM and I went back into our room to try and figure out what had happened
This was what we saw:
 Sadie has been sitting between the basket and the bookcase
Andre had been laying next to the bed on the left
What in the world is there that would have provoked him???
None of these things were Andre's
She wasn't by his food
She wasn't even by him at all
She hadn't thrown anything at him
She wasn't bugging him
But suddenly he was flying at her like he was going to kill her
What in the world?????
So we spent the last two weeks finding a new place for Andre
This was such a fluke thing that we both decided that there was no way we could keep him
I mean what could we "Prevent"???
It was totally out of the blue
Totally unpredicable
So Andre spent the last two weeks in Quarentine outside basically
While we figured out what to do with him
My parents suggested this Bulldog rescue place
An organization that takes Bulldogs and replaces them in new homes
It sounded like a super good idea
But turns out that Olde English Bulldogges are considered "mutts" in the Bulldog community
And they won't take his breed at all
Ya and just so you know
Bulldog breeders are the most snotty, rude bunch of jerks you will ever meet
Every time I have ever talked to any Bulldog breeder, it's always a horrible experience
I tried emailing all kinds of people to ask if they knew anything
And finally got this lady to email back and man,
I would get so mad that HM was just like, why do you even read her emails????
LOL... good point
She told me that it was no wonder my child was attacked because Olde English Bulldogges are just an inferior breed
And maybe I shouldn't let my baby torture him and play on him and drive him crazy, and then maybe he wouldn't have done this?
And maybe next time I should pay a little more attention to my dog, not neglect him,
Maybe train him and try to learn a little bit about the breed before I just went off and bought one without thinking
GRRRRRRR I wanted to kill this woman!
She was so rude and snotty I wanted to reach through the internet and strangle her
with all her "Tips on how to have a baby and a dog" links she sent me
Anyway, so after days and days of looking and emailing and asking
HM talked to a friend who had a female English Bulldog and said he would take Andre
He asked his wife if he could have him,
She said no :)
BUT
She said this guy that owned the store next to...hers? A friend's?
He really wanted a grown Bulldog
Because he said he didn't have time to train a puppy but he really wanted a Bulldog
So we called him
And after bunches of messages
(turns out this guy has two iPhones that he uses constantly)
He came down and saw Andre and agreed to take him
And this is so funny
So "typical" California
But hey, I'm sure he'll be a great pet owner to Andre
But this guy was totally Gay
Totally nice! But pretty sure he's gay....
LOL.....
He walked in to see Andre as we were having dinner with the missionaries...
LOL....
And still agreed to take him!
(maybe to save him from us! lol...)
I figure, hey, Andre is used to a female master...
This won't be a change! :)
LOL....
Anyway, so last Saturday, we took Andre up to Lake Isabella
 Turns out this guy, Phil is his name
Has a big property
Lots of land all fenced in in the "mountains" as it were
Lots of trees and bushes
Andre really seemed to like it
He'll get to be inside
And this guy says they go to the lake all the time
So he'll get to go do things all the time
We all cried when we left him
And I must admit it's pretty weird not having Andre here
It feels very empty
But I also feel pretty relieved... 17 giugno YW/YM Pool PartyThings about having a pool:
People always want to come swim in it! :)
So we got volunteered to have a YW/YM Mutual night at our house
Swimming and BBQ baby
So here are the pics:
15 giugno New ThingsNow, I realize that talking about all the
"New Things" around our house
Is probably about as interesting
As well... As this one guy said in a talk once:
As interesting as grandparents's talking about their grandchildren
lol....
But here are some new things we've done around the house:
1. Finally got the Doorbells to work!
  Sounds dumb but these two little buttons
And probably the combined work time of 30+ hours of time
There are two different rings:
One for if you are standing at the door
And one for if you are standing in front of the courtyard
Pretty neat huh....
2. Got cool towels for the bathroom
 3. Bought a cabinet for the bathroom
 4. Installed a shower curtain
Had to order it special off the internet
But now the tub is also now a shower!
  5. Cleaned and decorated the garage!
HM says the garage is the only appropriate place
where you can put up posters :)
  She had one before
And it was SO SO SO SO loud!!!!
So we finally broke down and just bought a new one
And also bought a little one for just over her crib
Isn't it just so cute??? :)
  7. My flowers are growing!
This is if the live to survive Andre laying on them
(because it was so nice of me to make him a nice cool leafy bed)
Or Sadie plucking off the leaves
 8. Set up our cute fountain thing
This thing weighs 100 lbs easy...
But it's cute!
HM found it at a job and brought it home
 9. Found at the Sadie loves Necterines
Or any type of fruit for that matter
She latched onto it and wouldn't let go
She worked her way around the whole thing
And would regularly tilt her head back and drink from it like a bottle
It was hysterical
She was soaked by the time she was done
And so dirty! :)
     10. Got a Pool Fence!!!! :)
Gotta love a fence around the pool
This means small children or dogs cannot go into the pool unsupervised
It means we can lock it
And we get all this for an incredibly cheap price
So we are happy happy....
07 giugno Girl's TripThis last week I was in Utah for 4 days
Having a "Girl's Week" with my sisters and mom
Here are a few highlights:
1. Claustraphobia
My mom and Stef picked up Sadie and I from the airport
She brought her Mustang
And I brought a huge suitcase, a huge stroller and a carseat :)
See how these two things don't go together?
So I spent the ride from the Airport to Provo
With the stroller on my lap
 And tried not to freak out
because the carseat was on top of me
I couldn't move
Couldn't see
And could move!
2. EATING
It seems we ate at a lot of places
IHOP, Red Robin, Subway, Panda Express, Denny's to name a few
And with Sadie there
I'll admit I was kinda nervous because she was only used to eating in her high chair
So the first day she ate off the table
 But after that she was a pro at eating out
 She ate corndogs in her car seat
  Ice cream with her Aunt Jamie
 And CHOWED down on Mac'n'Cheese out of a bowl
 And even had Chips and Salsa with Grams
  3. HAIR
We had to all get our hair done on a Girl's Vacation
Right?

     4. TEMPLE
We went to the Oquirrh Mountain temple Open House
 (Pronounced "Oaker" just in case you wondered)
It was beautiful and great
Crazy cool chandeliers and amazing as always
Sadie wasn't too happy
 and screamed her head off a couple times inside the temple
Ay....
She learned how to stand up backwards on her stroller though:
 But afterwards we took her to Red Robin
Where she downed a whole bowl of MacNCheese
 so all was well :)
  5. SHOPPING
We spent most of that same day shopping
And i must say that was one of the funnest parts of the trip
For which there is really no pictorial record :)
But there is one funny story:
I found a bunch of pants on clearance that were HMs size
But one of the pants I wasn't sure if he would like or not
So I texted him a picture and asked him if he did:
 His reply was simple.
He just said:
I'm heterosexual
LOL.....
6. Still Reading?
Okay, this might be the longest post ever
But one more story
The flight THERE was no sweat
The plane wasn't crowded
We got the whole row to ourselves
Sadie played, looked out the window
Fell asleep the last 5 minutes
And no worries
The flight BACK was HORRIBLE.
The plane was small, packed and HOT
It took forever to actually take off
And as soon as we did
Sadie started screaming
And was inconsolable: eyes shut, screaming
No drink, no snacks, no book, no anything
Just screaming and screaming
After about 45 minutes
She stopped and went to sleep
And just as she did
The stewardesses came and PARKED the drink cart
Right next to us
And instead of moving up and down
they just stayed there and they moved
GREAT
After about 10 minutes (pf telling myself "they're almost done... they're almost done...)
of this I tapped the girl and said:
Of all the places you could park that you chose to be right next to the baby who just screamed for the last 45 minutes????!!!!
If she wakes up I'm not the only one who will be upset with you!!!!!
Could you please move up or down the row? Anywhere but here??????
Okay, sorry, she said, it's just protocol, but we'll move
Whew....
Sadie slept the rest of the way
When we landed though
The little terminal ramp was broken
So they had to just pull out the stairs
So I round the corner to exit the plane
Clutching Sadie and two bags
Already almost dropping both as it was
And here are the steps that were literally straight down
After a few choice words I was like, man I could more easily JUMP down then try these stairs
Luckily, the girl in front of me stopped and turned around and offered to help me
So she took my bags
And we made it down the stairs
So, crisis averted, we headed for the airport
To find:
two huges flights of stairs
No elevator
The one guy said he "might come help me in a minute"
So another helpful person helped me
And we picked up Sadie in her stroller
And literally lifted her over our heads
And carried her up the stairs
WE WERE GLAD TO BE HOME
Overall, minus the horrible flight home
WE HAD A GREAT TIME
Big huge thanks to our favorite sister Jamie
For organizing the whole thing!!
We love you Jamie! Thank you!!!
 Beach TripRight after school let out we went to Cayucos and Morro Bay

There were some serious SEAL FAMILY DRAMA
There was this HUGE mama with a baby:
 Who was trying to keep this other seal off the landing
So every time the seal surfaced, she would bark and bark at him
And then the other seal was helping her
By blocking the other entrance too
 And they barked and barked at each other
Keeping one of the other seals away
It was LOUD
And pretty cool to watch
See...drama in the animal kingdom too :)
