I thought I would do a quick update of things while we're here for Sunday dinner
Back here at the folks house means no pictures,
So hope you enjoyed the brief stint

1.     News on the House: 
Still haven't closed. 
Our 10 day extension ended with everything done but with Loan docs still in the works. 
Last thing is we are waiting for verification from the banks that have bought/sold our house in the time it was foreclosed to verify that the bank that is selling the house really has the authority to do so.  Banks don't go through Escrow and all this stuff when they trade properties around so the bank that is "selling" us the house, isn't the one that had it when it foreclosed. 
Problem there. 
So they have to have the trail that says: yes, this Bank really does own it and they can sell it to us. 
So hopefully that gets worked out and we'll close this NEXT week...
even though we've been saying that same thing for the last 3 weeks...
hopefully this week it will be true.

2.  Marti's new Blog:
I have corrupted yet another victim and set up Grandma Marti with a blog
(this is my Father in Law's step mother for those of you who don't know the Fam details but for all intensive purposes, she is Craig's mom)
She reads my blog religiously (Hi Marti :)) and since she let me use her computer while we were there yesterday, I set up her blog for her and showed her how to use some stuff.  Check her out at:

By the way Marti, whenever we get our computer back, I have some pictures to send you.  So one day when you open up your blog, don't be surprised that someone busted in your account and posted pictures on it. :) It's just me

3.  LUPAS:
Do you know what that is?
We didn't really either but we're learning because Cheryl went to the doctor on one of her many visits and finally had  PA actually read her chart and ask her:
So how have you been since you had pneumonia???
uh... When did I have that???
Read a little further and asks her
why they didn't put her on medication for her Lupas?
uh... I have Lupas???
Ya, really nice guys... thanks for that news flash....
So Cheryl had pnemonia some time last year... and she also has Lupas.  Who knew?
I guess us now.

4.  SOMEDAY
That is what is becoming more and more our response when people ask us things
The primary prez is doing a board with all the kid's pics of their families for the year theme
She told me I could bring one too
I told her: hmm, sure, someday :) when all my stuff is not in storage and when we aren't waiting for Escrow to close every week....
Someday when all my pictures are not in a box sitting in a metal warehouse
I miss my blender, and my pictures... and my books
Someday we will have them again
Three months
That's how long we planned on staying in limbo
and it was a pretty fair estimate
and we are almost done.....!!!!!

5.  HOCKEY REF
I was teasing HM's dad the other day that he will ref anything
It's kinda true
Wish this stupid computer would post pictures because i'd show you
HM's dad was the official scorekeeper at the Condor's game last night
I have pics of him standing in the little glass box next to the team :)
It's pretty cool

6.  MIRACLE
For the first time EVER
The Condor's won at a game we attended
Freaking amazing...
And it was actually a good game!
Sadie was amazing and was not bothered by the noise
In fact
She fell asleep :)
take that....

7.  BIG AND FAT
We saw a little girl at the hockey game last night
And Sadie was easily 5-10 lbs heavier than her
And a month younger :)
Sadie is super good and still very sturdy :)
She still can't crawl but she's learning and will soon I'm sure
And still no teeth :)
And speaking of which... I gotta go! :)

 

So I spent a good 45 minutes after school the other day
Talking to two of my kids
Giving them a "Pregnancy 101" talk
Because she is expecting in Oct
But won't admit that she is
And refuses to get checked for real
We had a little talk about how the decision about whether or not you want to be pregnant
Has already been decided chica! LOL...

Another one of my girls is 4 months along
Just found out that
She is going to be having a little girl
Congrats to her...how sweet
She looks like she's about 14 years old so they'll look like sisters....

It's sad that so many of my kids
Think they are so grown up
and in many ways they are
They do things that most adults are at least smart enough
Not to do

But they know it all right? So heave ho, here we go

My Seniors just finished reading Hamlet
And as part of that, I made them do this writing project
Called "My Tragic Life"
Talking about all different areas of their life
And different "tragedies" that they had experienced: accidents, family, parents, friends, relationships, etc.
It was right after their 10 page research
Frankly most of them did a crap job of it
But it was rather depressing reading all the entries

I found out some amazing things though
I found out that one of my kid's brothers is having an affair with a married woman
I found out that one of my favorite kids was molested when he was younger
That entry made me just sick

I found out that one of my girls had an abortion earlier this year
I guess she found out she was pregnant
Told her boyfriend
He freaked out and dumped her
She aborted the baby right after
He came back a week later and said:
Okay, I"m ready to be a father, I'm sorry I freaked out
And she goes... uh.....
Stupid stuff....
It's a sick world
At what point do you say "THAT is what started it..."
It's hard to even say when the warped events even begin....

On a happier note :)
Things are going really good with the house
The pool is fixed
(picture here if I could)
and is HUGE
It's easily 10 ft deep if not more
And it looks fantastic

The roofers replaced the entire roof on the patio
And replaced some old rotted boards on the underside
HM fixed the broken doggie door hole
And installed the armour thing that will count as a closet

AND
We even picked an oven
that the bank is going to pay for
But in the process we found this other oven that we really want
This is like the dream oven
But i doubt the bank would pay the 1800 for it...lol....
It's 40 inches long and has 5 burners
and TWO ovens--a normal one and a "bread oven"
It's so cool
So we'll see, but man, it was way cool
I have never fallen in love with an oven before...
Lol... it's new thing

So hopefully we will close this week
I'm pretty sure we will
Probably not on St. Patty's day unfortunately
But the WEEK of St. Patty's day? :)
It'll be nice to actually be able to get into our house
And START

We are supposed to close Escrow in one week

Hmmmm...hope it happens!

We're doubtful

It's not us, but rather the Bank

The FHE loan people are making them fix all kinds of stuff

Which is good for us

But they haven't started doing it yet....

And they only have a week left....

So cross your fingers

Maybe they'll bust out and get it done this week????

 

Not much else going on here

Still can't post any pictures

It sucks

We're living in an empty house

And we are finally working on the garage

HM's parents spend a good afternoon on Saturday

"going through stuff" (right)

I think we ended up filling up like 1/2 the dumpster

And they put most of it in their cars

HM and I and Burrito went out there for one hour yesterday

And it's mostly empty now

LOL

I'm sure it's a whole lot easier to get rid of other people's stuff

But still

They spent like 45 minutes arguing about whether or not to keep these wooden Easter bunny things

In the end, Cheryl won and they kept them

LOL...

 

Sadie is getting big and fat

She's like 22 or 23 lbs now

And man, she is solid and getting so big and smart

She really wants to crawl

And is getting frustrated with just having to sit there

She is very curious about everything

So heaven help us when she starts crawling....! :)
